The principles of organic waste gas treatment include activated carbon adsorption, catalytic combustion, catalytic oxidation, acid-base neutralization, plasma and other principles. The following small edition of waste gas treatment equipment will introduce several waste gas treatment methods for you, hoping to help you.
The first method is thermal combustion and catalytic combustion
Principle: under high temperature, the odorous substance and fuel gas are fully mixed to realize complete combustion. Application scope: it is applicable to the treatment of combustible gas with high concentration and small gas volume. Advantages: high purification efficiency, odor substances are completely oxidized and decomposed. Disadvantages: the equipment is easy to corrode, fuel is consumed, treatment cost is high, and secondary pollution is easy to form.
The second method is adsorption
Principle: use the adsorption function of adsorbent to transfer odor from gas phase to solid phase. Scope of application: it is applicable to the treatment of odor gas with low concentration and high purification requirements. Advantages: high purification efficiency, can deal with multi-component odor gas. Disadvantages: the adsorbent is expensive, regeneration is difficult, and the odor gas to be treated is required to have lower temperature and dust content.
The third waste gas treatment method: water absorption method
Principle: make use of the characteristics that some substances in odor are easy to dissolve in water, make the odor components directly contact with water, so as to dissolve in water to achieve deodorization. Scope of application: odor gas from water-soluble and organized emission sources. Advantages: simple process, convenient management, low equipment operation cost, secondary pollution, washing solution needs to be treated. Disadvantages: the purification efficiency is low, it should be combined with other technologies, and the treatment effect of mercaptan and fatty acid is poor.
The fourth method of waste gas treatment: aeration activated sludge deodorization
Principle: the odor substance is dispersed into the mixed liquid containing activated sludge in the form of aeration, and can be degraded by suspended microorganism in a wide range of applications. Scope of application: at present, Japan has been used for odor treatment in faeces treatment plants and sewage treatment plants. Advantages: after the activated sludge is domesticated, the removal rate of odor components not exceeding the limit load can reach more than 99.5%.
